Firmware Out-of-Date

Problem Description: MIMOSA device displays a "Firmware Out-of-Date" message, indicating that the currently installed firmware is not the latest version.

Symptoms:

  • Firmware Out-of-Date issues can interrupt the use of MIMOSA device.

Basic Checks:

  • Device IMEI
  • Username

Troubleshooting Questions:

  • Does the warning allow the user to use the MIMOSA application and capture images?
  • If possible, request a screenshot of the message for reference.

Resolution Steps:

  • Check current App version from UXCAM:
    • Navigate to UXCAM
    • Navigate to "Users" and locate the user by entering their username in the search bar. Example here: username : nikita
    • Click "TSL_Panchal_N_ON / nikita"
    • Click "Properties"
    • Check “App Version”

Further Escalation:

  • Compile a summary of the issue along with the user's information and current App Version.
  • Contact the Tech team to inform them.

Customer Action:

  • Connect the device to wi-fi, navigate to the Image Capture/ Camera screen, and accept the prompt to update the firmware. Not updating the firmware when prompted could lead to other issues.

Firmware update is packaged with the Application update now so the only way this could ever happen is if the released application had the wrong firmware paired and this would impact every single customer.
